Omaha Children's Museum

The Omaha Children’s Museum is a great place for kids of all ages to be excited about learning. The museum has been in Omaha for more that 40 years and brings in thousands of families each year. From hosting nights for children with autism or compromised immune systems to teaching children to make healthy choices and be environmentally conscious, the Children’s museum is always working to better the Omaha community.

Susan G. Komen Great Plains

Susan G. Komen Great Plains has many events throughout the year – all to help educate, research and help find a way to beat breast cancer. 75% of proceeds through Komen go toward local programs while 25% go toward national research. These efforts helped decrease the breast cancer mortality rate by 37% from 1990 to 2013.

Boys Town National Research Hospital

For more than 40 years, Boys Town National Research Hospital has been internationally recognized as a leader in clinical and research programs focusing on childhood deafness and communication disorders. The hospital has developed national medical programs that are now instituted in hospitals and clinics across the country. Today, the hospital includes a broad range of medical and surgical services for children and adults at two hospitals and six clinic locations; and intensive behavioral healthcare for children at their Residential Treatment Center.

Boys Town National Research Hospital

Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands

Boys and Girls Clubs of the Midlands helps provide a safe place for children to find support, friendship and direction outside of school. The clubs offer programs and services that promote and enhance boys’ and girls’ development. In 2015, 7,010 youth were members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Midlands, and 31% of those members were teenagers from 13 to 18 years old.

Many of the programs, including the primary care, physician assistant, physical therapy, pharmacy and public health programs, are ranked among the top programs in the country.

Every year, more than 30,000 animals make their way to the Nebraska Humane Society where they get the veterinary care they may need and many are lucky enough to find forever homes. The Nebraska Humane Society’s vision is to find a good home for every pet and offers many services to help that vision become a reality.

Metropolitan Community College

Metropolitan Community College strives to deliver a relevant, student-centered education. With professional development courses, flexible scheduling, affordable costs, transferrable credits and career services – Metro is built to help students succeed. The college has been a part of the Omaha community since 1974. One of the many great education paths offered at Metro is a fantastic Auto Collision Technology program. It allows students to learn everything from metal finishing repair, major body repair and automotive painting.

University of Nebraska Omaha

With many members of the Baxter Auto Family having gone to UNO, supporting their Alma Mater is very important to us. The University consists of about 15,000 students and has been a part of Omaha for more than a century. Plus, the university cultivates more than 15 division 1 athletic teams. Including the Mavericks Basketball and Hockey teams. Men’s Hockey, Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball all call Baxter Arena home – to a crowd of 7,500 fans.

Creighton University offers one of the best educations in the Midwest. The 2015-2016 academic year marked the thirteenth year Creighton was named the Number 1 Midwest Regional University by U.S. News and World Report “America’s Best Colleges.” Creighton also offers a home for a total of 14 men’s and women’s collegiate sports teams. Including the men’s Basketball team – who plays out of the CenturyLink Center.
